The Somewhat-Abridged Biography of David Johnson

David was born in Chanhassen, MN.  He attended North Park University in Chicago, where he graduated with a degree in History and another in Biblical & Theological Studies.   While at NPU he was co-founder of their International Justice Mission chapter and served as President of the Nonprofit Student Leadership Association.

David loves the outdoors (hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiles, wearing layers), but he also loves the indoors (video games old and new, movies, napping).  He likes Thai food, semi-obscure indie-folk music, and books where the protagonist struggles nobly, but eventually fall short of realizing some dream.  He likes your FaceBook status if it’s funny, but not if you’re just telling everyone you had a sandwich.

More importantly, David is married to his lovely wife, Tessa, and they live in Saint Paul with their ridiculously-large dog, Magnus.  David was the Director of Youth Ministry at Schaumburg Covenant Church in Illinois for 4 years before coming to Bethlehem in 2010.  He’s exited by all the things God is doing at Bethlehem, and ecstatic to be a part of this awesome community.
