On May 11th our church’s Strategic Planning Task Force submitted to the congregation a revised strategic plan to guide our ministry in the coming years. After a long and thoughtful process of study, reflection, and prayer the task force has identified three “critical success factors” to give focus and attention to in our various areas of ministry at Bethlehem.
- SHARING THE GOOD NEWS: INTENTIONAL EVANGELISM
- LOVE MERCY, DO JUSTICE: COMPASSIONATE SERVICE WITH OUR COMMUNITY
- SHARING LIFE TOGETHER: FOSTERING COMPELLING CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY
It is our belief that by striving towards these three areas, Bethlehem will better live into its mission of loving God + loving neighbor and its vision to be a welcoming neighborhood church with a heartfelt devotion to God. This summer the council and church commissions will be crafting their ministry plans with these three factors in mind, but the success of our mission depends upon all of us giving our energy and service towards these ends. So ask yourself how you might share Jesus with your neighbors, how you might help our neighbors in tangible ways, and how our relationships here at church can grow stronger?
