Refugee Ministry- Working with partners in the East Philips neighborhood, our NOAH committee seeks to establish connection and relationships with displaced people from South Asia and other locations. Bethlehem also hosts ESL class for refugees seeking citizenship.
Meals on Wheels – Several times during the year, people volunteer to deliver meals for a week to the homebound.
Loaves and Fishes – each quarter, volunteers from Bethlehem serve a meal with the Loaves & Fishes ministry to about 200 people in the East Phillips neighborhood.
Tutoring – Tutors are always needed at the Bethlehem Child Care Center, for our own students, or in Minneapolis through the Kinship program (www.kinship.org).
Community Emergency Services – is our partner here in South Minneapolis to aid people in need through its food pantry, grocery delivery, and help navigating social services. Members of Bethlehem participate in occasional service projects and ongoing volunteer opportunities.
Ace in the City – a Christian Community Development organization here in South Minneapolis that aims to create “communities of belonging” in the diverse neighborhoods of our city by way of tutoring programs, youth mentoring, school assistance, and much more.
