I'm New!

Welcome from Pastor Colleen

Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here.

What type of church is Bethlehem?

Bethlehem is an Evangelical Covenant Church (read our core values here) in the heart of the Longfellow neighborhood of South Minneapolis. We exist to point people to God so that they can love one another well. We invite you to be a part of our family that is seeking to be an open door to the community, a place to find courage and rest as we equip you to live a full life following God.

What is the service like?

We excited to offer two services on Sunday mornings. A 9:00am Traditional service featuring our (newly refurbished) organ and the church choir that sings a variety of styles and a 10:45 Contemporary service offering a worship band with praise music and members seeking to build christian community with one another. We also follow the liturgical calendar for scripture each week in both services. To watch a quick about our two services click here.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to wear what makes you feel comfortable. You’ll find that our congregation attends in jeans and T-shirts, as well as dresses and slacks – but we’re not focused on what you wear.

What is there for my kids?

We’re so glad you asked! After our singing and a brief children’s message during the service, many of our kids leave for a time of play, teaching, and an activity that supports the message from the pastor. This space is led by a staff member and/or lay leader. If your family desires to have your child stay during the entire worship service, we want to support you! There are kid-sized activities right outside the sanctuary for you to use while you’re at Bethlehem. We also offer nursery care for kids birth – age 2 during the service.
