Hey Bethlehem’ers!

Every 3 years, we get to put together a summer missions trip to the place of our choosing. This year, the Youth Commission and the Missions Commission had the same question: Could we maybe, somehow, get a group to go visit Aunie Benson as she serves in Alaska?

After a few prayerful weeks of emailing and barraging Aunie with questions, I’m pleased to announce that a missions trip to Alaska is indeed being planned. While some of the details are still being pinned down, there are 4 things I’d like to point out:
1.  All students currently in 8th -12th grade are welcome to come.

2. The trip will depart on/after July 23rd, and return on/before to July 30th. This window means it won’t interfere with Jr. or Sr. High weeks at Covenant Pines.

3.  We’re committed to making this trip affordable. We’ll be fundraising the majority of the costs, but we’re capping the cost to families to $300/student. We’ll also be offering scholarships to ensure every interested student can come.

4.  A Parent Information meeting will take place after the 2nd service on Jan. 29th to lay out the registration deadlines, fundraising dates, and answer any/all your questions.

Please let me know if you have and comments/questions/interest. We’re super excited about the idea of such a big undertaking, and would love to have you on board.
