Ekstrands Coming to Bethlehem!

Pete and Cindy Ekstrand were commissioned to long term missionary service with Covenant World Mission in 1981 followed by French studies in Belgium before beginning their service in Zaire (Congo) in July 1982. Upon evacuation from Congo in February of 1997, they spent 2 years in the United States before returning to Africa in August 1999 to Yaounde, Cameroon where they served as the Africa Regional Coordinators for 10 years. The Ekstrands changed ministries and countries and returned to Congo in March 2010.

The Ekstrands ministry includes advising church leaders, participating in women’s ministries, encourag- ing community health evangelism and providing administrative support. While based in Congo, the Ekstrands also continued to serve as coordinators for the relationship between Covenant World Mission and the Evangelical Covenant Churches of South Sudan and Kenya and they have visited these churches once per year.

Bethlehem Covenant Church is excited to be hosting Pete and Cindy Ekstrand, whom our church sup- ports, here the weekend of February 13-16, 2014.
